Rick,

This thread has gotten me interested in the Windows Activation process.  I 
was reading on Microsoft's website that they added this in SP1: for a 
significant hardware change there is "an additional three-day grace period 
to re-activate." That means Doug would be correct in the case of a 
hardware change.   So if you swapped the hard drives, you now know how 
long you have to activate it.  :)
