And, for the paranoid among us (myself included), I would not use a VOIP
line for any phone call for which I want privacy assured (calls which
include giving out personal/financial information).  (In this case, I don't
even use my cordless or cell phones, only a wired landline phone.)

Unless the VOIPs offer encrypted transmission...
