I've used Promise cards exclusively for the past few years and have never
had a problem. I currently use the Ultra100/TX2 card but they also have the
similar Ultra 133 TX2 which sounds like what you are looking for.

Folks:

Does anyone have a suggestion for an add-on PCI ATA/133 card?

I'm getting a new server soon, but it only has SATA on the motherboard
... since my storage is all PATA, I need to get a good quality card that
I can boot from.

RAID isn't important, just solid functionality and Linux support.
