Another weird thing is that when you press CTRL-END, instead of going to
the end of the document, it does a print-screen. Call the funny farm--I've
finally gone crazy!

Nope, it wasn't, but that was a good guess. When I checked it I got lines
on the sides, top, and bottom. Still, I'd be willing to bet that it's
related because when I selected it on my school PC I got the lines as well
as the corner brackets just like my work PC.

Try Tools, Options, View Tab

Under Print and Web Layout options I'll bet the Text Boundaries is checked,
uncheck it

I've just got a new work laptop PC with Microsoft Word 2003

90-degree brackets in the corners of the document denoting the
margins. My
school laptop also has Word 2003 but doesn't have these brackets. It's
at
(11.6502.6408) SP1. I haven't decided if I like these things yet or not
but I'd like to know if there's an option to turn them on and off, or at
least know what the name is for them so I can search the help text. Are
they something that got added in the updated service pack? I've looked
around but haven't found anything so far. Maybe I'm just seeing
things. I
know that I need new glasses...
