Nope.  I was told  no dial-up.

Besides, what is meant by "secure" in the subject line? Is your PC/laptop 
secure already? In general, it won't matter what ISP and access route you use; 
there really aren't many guys sneaking unnoticed into switching centers and 
doing a lot of sniffing (ok, sure... the feds; but your company isn't hiding 
from them)(I suppose).

Now, OTOH, there are a LOT of attempts to take over your PC/laptop and those 
attempts _TRY_ to find connections to broadband and _avoid_ dialup. If you want 
a zombie, you want one that's always-on and hi-speed. In those circumstances, 
it isn't VPN, etc., that make much difference; it's your firewall and related 
elements.
