Esteemed colleagues,

I would like to move files from my laptop to a desktop (and v.v.) via a
cable; no network involved. I'm thinking a USB cable and Windows XP just
"knows" what to do when the connection is made. FWIW, the laptop is XP Pro
and the desktop is XP Home, both at SP2.

I am trying to avoid USB drives (too small anyways) and CD-R / CD-RW because
of the sensitive nature of the information that I'm moving. Also, it'd be
nice to avoid the extra step and just do it in one operation.

Does WinXP have this functionality built in? If so, what kind of cable am I
looking for?

TIA,
Dan
