I don't have much hands-on with notebook PCs but from what I have seen
Dell is pretty good, Toshiba and IBM are nice. I'd take a look at
reviews on computershopper.com they usually have decent reviews on all
things PC related.

With all of today's talk of new PC's, what about notebooks? For the

two years I've had a Fujitsu Lifebook on loan from the university I've
been attending. Next month I graduate and have to give it back
(although
I'm not sure who would want it). I'm starting to look around. I'm on a
budget but want something good. Does anybody have any experience, good

bad, with barebones notebooks? I've got a spare copy of XP Pro that I
could load if I got one. I've also briefly looked at some loaded
systems
such as Dell. To me, a large hard drive and long battery life are worth
more than super speed.
