So what e-mail hosting services are people using with Thunderbird?
Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, maybe even Exchange??

I've got Tbird hooked up to my google mail for domains (and the associated calendar using Lightning) via the IMAP function.

Obviously it works great with a stand alone imap or pop3 server.

I'm becoming an Open Source junkie. What I like is that the interface is just so much nicer. There are bugs, too, and I'll need to learn to live with them. And every once in a while I find myself hitting, for example, a Microsoft Word keystroke that doesn't work in Writer. I fume quietly for a little while and move on.

But the price is unbeatable. I'm seriously considering an ultra-portable (like an Asus Eee) running Linux just to see what happens. If it wasn't for the fact that there have been issues with the Samba driver, I'd already have bought one.
