That's pretty much it. I have six hour VHS tapes I'm converting to DVD.
I need to be able to split them into two hour segments and occasionally
remove the images of my foot as I'm walking.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out.

If all you want to do is cut it into smaller pieces, then my hands-down
favorite is VideoReDo from www.videoredo.com however if you want actual
editing abilities, then much depends on what you want to do.
