For a single server NTBackup (the one that comes w/windows) actually
does quite a good job. I's scriptable (well, somewhat) and you can
schedule it w/the windows job scheduler. It's also SQLServer aware so
you can use it to do hot sqlserver backups (if you care to, I prefer to
backup sqlserver from w/in sqlserver to the file system and then let
ntbackup backup the .bak files).
