Actually NOT OK. 11d does not work on WS08. That was what the tape drive manufacturer supplied. And now they say that they are not getting 12 to provide to people who upgrade their server or are buying a new drive for WS08.

No it's not - it's undetailed ;)

Windows Server 2008 comes with Windows Server Backup which, to put it
bluntly, sucks. It only supports Disk to Disk backups.

Tape drives are of course fully supported in Server 2008, you just
need 3rd Party Software to use them.
