It's been so long since I've created a batch file that I can't remember the
specifics, but I think you can make it run minimized if you wrap it in a
PIF.

However, why not use a script (ie: VBscript or WSHSHell) instead? Much more
powerful, and it doesn't require the interactive cmd prompt.

Hi all,

A coworker is has created a slick little batch file for applying some
software updates over the network. When he runs it, the Windows
"terminal emulator" (for lack of a better term) pops up. No user
interaction is required, so we'd rather the window not pop up.

We've looked at the switches for cmd.exe, but don't see anything that
will allow the command to run silently. Is this possible?
