Gosh I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't added that feature. I believe that the copy and paste functions are two of the most important features of Windows. I thought I must have been overlooking something.

Thanks all.

There appear to be 3rd party tools that provide a clipboard append.

That is not what Bryan meant - Copy Append is an extra option in the
Edit menu of iSeries Access - as well as Paste Next. Copy Append takes
what you are copying and appends it to the end of what is on the
clipboard. Very cool for copying multi-screen stuff like source or help
text or whatever. Paste Next is the reverse - it starts pasting from
where you left off - nice for pasting long source.

Of course, it's much easier in WDSC/RDi - where you don't deal with
multi-screens - you can copy and paste the whole thing. There's probably
not a reason for this feature in Windows apps other then the emulator.

Is there an action in Windows, let's say XP Pro, which does that same
thing as Copy Append does for iSeries Access for Windows? It sure is handy.

You can do it from the command line. Start, Run, cmd.

Copy filea + fileb filec

Copies filea and adds fileb to create filec. You can add as many files
with pluses as you wish. You can also do:

Copy fileb + filea fileb
