I am very interested in the outcome of this trial.
I don't condone piracy, but I liken this trial to one accusing bankers of
money-laundering simply because criminals have accounts and run money
through their banks. Or more commonly, in the USA (because of
minimum-sentencing laws) our police typically bust the crack-cocaine users
on the street and sentence them to years in prison at massive costs to
taxpayers, but do little about the dealers and importers...
IMO, governments should be pursuing and shutting down the pirates - those
who actually copy and store the intellectual property.
