I agree with the others here. I use Google Apps on my person domains. It
would be an effective and cheap solution for a small business on the cheap.
But you risk loosing everything if Google decides to lock your account for
some random reason. Open Office on a backed-up shared drive would be best.

For email, I agree that IMAP for Gmail sucks. If you want Outlook, use a
hosted Exchange or run your own server.
