David,

We use WhatsUp Gold to monitor web sites and devices on our network. I
believe that when it was set up (not by me) the consultant talked about
having WhatUp Gold hit a web page, take a drop down and select an option off
of it to see if the site was responding. Seems to work good for us.

Folks:

Anyone have a recommendation for an external system monitoring service?

I know there are many available, I'm looking for a recommendation.

I need a service that will check various services and that they respond
correctly (not just a ping).

Thanks!

david
