everything is going to run in a browser in "the cloud" anyway... </clip>
I believe Google with the same weight that many said we don't need paper
anymore.
But for the near future I (still) like the IBM Thinkpad line, now made by
Lenovo.
I've had 2 daughters go through college with Thinkpads, and they said their
laptops
were far more reliable than any other brand other students had.
These were business class running XP Pro.
I know Win 7 is standard now, but would insist on Pro version.
Oversize memory, heavy graphics card.
That said, many of the tech students were carrying Macs...(but not home
versions.
Once he gets a job, his work computer should be from the office, not
personal.
