Oops! My apologies to everyone on the list.
This list was culled from the archives because I was looking for
suggestions on domain name registration, started to send an email, but
checked archives first. I use email sometimes as a handy way save
something to a work folder in my Thunderbird client. I thought I was
sending it to myself.

Personally I prefer to keep functions split up so that it's easier
change to one part without impacting the others, so I have ...my
*Domain registration = DNS Central (a Tucows reseller)*
Name servers for my domains = Security Space (a pay service but very
affordable)
Hosting (both web and email) = me (I have a static IP address from
connectivity provider and a physical server in my apartment)

I've already seen the effect in action as the two mydomain servers
at the top of my list failed yesterday for a short time and my sites
were still reachable via the secondary servers.
