Sorry about the then/than mix-up. That slipped by my proofreading.

The point, to be clear, is that under any modern OS, there's no need for the average user - that includes developers and systems administrators - to use an Admin-level ID for regular productivity. Elevating the privileges of specific apps or logging in as Admin to a sandboxed environment for admin activities is far safer.
