Trying to test this by creating a rule in o365 to forward emails to a nonexisting address. Then using my gmail to send to my address and if the email came from my gmail account and contained a specific item to forward it on to this bad address.
The forwarding isn't forwarding but I'm still getting the message.
Now, that may be because o365 knows the address is invalid, or, it may be because some changes you make are not instantaneous and you have to give o365 some time to work on it. We call this "Microsoft time".
