If we know the hex value we could do a D spec and make it a defined constant
like x'FF' .

Create a spurce member, copy and paste this line, and run it (16)
SAY 'Hex:' C2X(' ') 'Decimal:' C2D(' ') 'Char:' ' '
You should get the codes in the page you are using in the computer where
you try, you can create a D line with the constant.
