To all,
RPG 5 the upgrade for RPG? First how many people have use other
languages? C++, Java, VB, ect .. the use of the terminators it what it is
end. You had to learn how to use it and when. This may moving forward to
object RPG :-). If it come you just will have to learn to use it no more no
less. I prefer it the way it is but things change and if you though RPG was
not going to change to get the younger programmer in to it look around, Java
came in and a class of Cobol at MT SAC had no students. Now thing about
that, things change.

Subject: Statement Terminators

Hello RPG400-L,

Ok folks, even in our imprecise natural written languages (ie.
languages with which we communicate to non programmers :-) we have
statement terminators. Shoot we have a whole slew of them. How many
people are clamoring to remove the use of all punctuation in
  English?

  Just a thought
