You weren't dreaming, Jeff!  RPG IV has named indicators available.  They
are defined in the D spec with data type "N", one character long, and with
a value of *on or *off like regular indicators.  Now instead of a cryptic
indicator used in calcs, you can say IF OVERLIMIT........
