I think it was.  This works just fine, at least calling the command from the 
command line.

Your memory is playing tricks with you.

Try this: ?wrkobjpdm ??lib(mylib)

You'll get the WRKOBJPDM prompt with LIB(MYLIB) filled in but enterable.
