Hmm. I have several examples of checking parms like this:
if %parms() = 6;
do something
and I have never had a problem with it.
Could you explain deeper.

Danger. Do not use parenthesis "()" with this BIF. If you do, the compiler
will interpret the entire expression as an array. %PARMS isn't a function,
it's a value.
