Mark, RPGIV dumps are subject to different authority requirements than OPM RPG. I found the following in the archives: > Unlike RPG III which requires only *Use authority to successfully > complete a Dump operation, RPG IV requires the user to have either > *Change authority to the program or special authority *Service. If the > user has less authority (e.g., *Use without *Service), the system > produces only the indicator portion of the dump, failing with error > message "Error occurred while retrieving variable data. Dump > terminated". Obviously, the dump isn't very useful without the program > variable listing. Try testing your trigger with a user that has the correct authority and see if it makes any difference. I can't seem to get a trigger program to generate a dump. The H spec looks like this: H DftActGrp(*No) UsrPrf(*Owner) Debug(*Yes) The DUMP is executed right after the input specs. There is an *INZSR initialization subroutine, but it's only setting key lists. Any ideas what is happening? -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
