This is a subfile that is being read, so the program logic probably doesn't
care if it hit subfile full or some other error--I'm assuming it just stops
writing and moves on to some other routine.

Subject: Question of the use of HI,LO,EQ indicators

All,

I question of the WDSC list has got me wondering. How does RPG III and RPG
IV handle the following:

C READC MPVEND 9797

The same indicator is used for both ERROR and EOF.

If an ERROR occurs, could it be masked by the fact that you're not at the
EOF?

Barbara, any comments?

Thanks,

Charles Wilt
