A good place to start would be Scott Klements website.

If you just go to http://www.scottklement.com he also has some tutorials
on some programming but those are something you'll want to use after you
get your feet wet.  Personally I would learn RPG IV then RPG III only if
you have to.

I am new to RPG and trying to find some classes.  All I seem to find is
RPG IV classes that are for people who already know RPG III.  I don't.
I need to start at the beginning.  Anyone know of any classes being
offered in the United States?
