It depends on were you are running the FTP commands from. I do most of mine from the iSeries using the IFS to hold my files. Therefore from the iSeries you would sign on to their folder/server, change your local directory 'LCD' to point to the iSeries and then do your 'MGET', I have learned to watch upper and lower case when it comes to specifying file names as well as extensions(CSV) Also make sure the FTP site you are signing in to drops you into the correct folder. One other procedure I do is instead of specifying MGET *.CSV, I do MGET *.*, that is if you want everything from their folder. The NameFmt 1 you will need if you are using the IFS. Below is a snippet from one of mine. cd /Test/Testasn namefmt 1 lcd /ftptest/testrcv mget *.* quit -----Original Message----- From: Connie Dando [mailto:CDando@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2007 10:37 AM To: rpg400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: FTP TO AS400 Getting stuck........ Connecting to a customer's FTP site. Change the current directory to their outgoing directory. In this directory there are several (all different named) orders that I need to get. I do an MGET *.CSV and when I do this it puts it to my local working directory which is at the moment IPGCFF4. I want to be able to do a LCD and get them into the AS400 hard drive. I have a folder there that can hold these orders, from there I can do a QSH to concatenate them all to one file and then CPYFRMIMPF to bring them over. But I just can't seem to get them off my customer's directory and onto the AS400. Cannot think for the life of me how to do it! Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated. ______________________________________________________________________ CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This email may contain confidential information and is intended only for the use of the intended recipient.
