Phil,
I run into the same problem sometimes and my solution is to perform a
SNDNETSPLF (option 1 in WRKSPLF) to another profile.

I sometimes run Production jobs for a User that produces a spool file
that is kept for some time. I like to do WRKSPLF for my own. But then
this production spool file always shows up in my queue. There is a
danger of deleting something by mistake.

And if not, then I have to be aware of this output at all times,
especially when I am in a cleaning up mood.

I guess the other option is to remember to sign on as a User Profile
when this happens. It would still be nice to be able to get this off of
my out queue.
