with respect to ILE RPG, I would like to know what is the bad design that causes poor performance and good design that improves the performance(faster running). I would like consider those points to analyse already existing ILE programs for better performance.

We would like to implement those functionalities to speed up existing ILE programs.
We are on V5R3. Not sure what are new IBM recommendations.
