But global subfields can also be seen as bad practice. There is no reason to use global subfields if you can use qualified subfields.
In my every day work i never use global subfields anymore and always define a ds as qualified.

I prefer to always use qualified data structures as well, but one problem that prevents me from doing so is the SQL compiler's lack of support for the qualified syntax. Hopefully this will change in a future release.
