I just read this article from Scott Klement http://systeminetwork.com/article/jdbc-rpg-multiple-result-sets and it made me wonder that if RPG can deal with a result set coming back from a remote database stored procedure, if there has been any recent changes to RPG and using a DB2/400 external stored procedure written in RPG and reading one of more result sets from that local stored procedure. I would think the RPG app could use this tool to make a JDBC connection to DB2 on the same system and execute the procedure but it just seems like the long way around.
