That's what the Receive Journal Entries exit program is _supposed_ to do -- fire when a journal entry is created.

Two programs are involved. The outer program executes RCVJRNE and names the exit program, along with parameters like delay times and others. The exit program is called (according to the command parameters) whenever new entries are deposited in the receiver or if existing entries are found that meet the supplied criteria.

If no entries arrive within the RCVJRNE DLYTIME() limits, or if the exit program ends and returns a value to request it, the statement after RCVJRNE is executed. The outer program may then choose to end after checking something like "shutdown status" or loop back to run RCVJRNE again.
