Hi Dennis

I must admit to being confused by the OP - who at one point said that the job MIGHT be still on a jobq. If that is the case, RTVJOBA does seem to return the library lists. So that command could be used for jobs on a JOBQ

But it sounds like the job COULD be active OR on the jobq - different approach for each, perhaps, in which case the status of the job would have to be determined first - easy enough. If active, the OP could use the API for getting messages from the job log and look for the first (only?) CPI1125 - this contains the attributes used on the SBMJOB. One of these attributes is INLLIBL, and it is filled in with whatever was specified. If *CURRENT or *JOBD were specified, they are expanded to the actual libraries used.

Seems this gives the OP a good, fairly simple approach to this puzzle - yes, a verrrrrrrrrrry eenteresting one! But NOT stupid!

At least at V5R3 that's so. It's an interesting puzzle!

The parameters used when the job is submitted are in one of the first
messages in the job log - if you have that log, you can work through
it.
This does include the various library list portions.

Could anyone point me to how I can get the list of libraries that the
job was submitted with on SystemI. I can get all kinds of information
using the API QUSRJOBI. But the library list infromation is only
available only when the job becomes active using JOBI0700 and JOBI0750.
Note: I can get the jobd and jobd library that the job was submitted
with but not the library list when the job is submitted wiht a set of
libraries in INLLIBL and no jobd was used.
Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated

Thank You,
Reddy
