I am trying to test this, but I must not be putting parms in correctly...
program TEST101 is modules TEST101 (c module) and RPGMAIN (rpgle module)
call TEST101 PARM('parm1' 'abc' 'not_abc' 'last_parm')

I get a "length of varying lengh variable is out of range"
and the var parm has a value of "rm1 abc not_abc ....

The program expects varying length parameters, so you can't call it from the command line. You have to write a calling program that passes the parameters correctly.

dcl-pr cmain extpgm('CMAIN');
p1 varchar(999) const;
p2 varchar(999) const;
p3 varchar(999) const;
p4 varchar(999) const;
p5 varchar(999) const;
p6 varchar(999) const;
end-pr;
cmain ('abc' : 'def' : 'abc' : '1' : 'abcd' : 'abc');
return;
