I understand Chuck's point about no errors in the job log, and agree
with his analysis. Especially given the time stamps in the job log. I
wasn't intending to describe THE answer; only suggest one mechanism that
can result in this sort of occasional failure.

Hopefully it'll trigger some ideas.
