Because in RPG, you may use the *+=* operator to shorten the expression
like:

SEQN = SEQN + 1 ;
into
SEQN +=1;

In "C" this would be

SEQN++;

All this, of course, has the solution of writing two lines of code. I was
bringing the subject to illustrate that the logical example I gave before
does work, put more clearly, like:

*IN50 = (myValue = 5);

does compile perfectly well, and indicator 50 will be *ON if myValue is 5.
