Thank you for that information. Unfortunately we do not have that PTF CUME
loaded yet, so that is not available to me at this time. Hopefully within
the next two or 3 months.

I will open a ticket with IBM and see what they say. But I have seen and
written code where a CHAR field is initialized to *zero as well as having
a numeric field initialized to *zero, and it works both ways, so I thought
the same would apply to *loval.
