Paul,

If you have the WAS 5.0 test environment installed that should work for you
as that still uses JDK1.3. 5.1 uses JDK1.4

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver not supported on 5.1.2 ?

Collib,

I wasn't using the bridge for production (since that's DB2 on iSeries) but
for development and local testing. MS-Access is easy to use and maintain
tables, and I was even amazed how common some SQL syntax was between both.

Since I migrated to WDSC 5.1.2 I can no longer test locally on my PC which
was a surprise (which I slow start to understand, however Joe still
confirmed it worked for him ?). Guess I either need to look for a specific
Access JDBC driver like someone else suggested... or switch to mySQL for
example.

Guess I will be taking the last solution... I already lost to much time with
this.

Kind regards,
Paul

Paul,

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the classes in packages that start
with sun.* are unsupported and are not really intended for production use as
they may be dropped at any time, so you might want to check that out

I believe WAS 5.1 uses jdk 1.4
