Hi Jerry, I use an X60 with 2G ram for WDSC development and it is fine for me. It has a 1.6G dual core processor and 100G drive in quite a compact package. To me this is the bee's knees for travelling. The down side is that to use a CD you need to use the docking tray. I did think that would be a pain but having had X series machines since the X20 I can't say that it has ever been a problem - but that will depend upon your expectations. I guess you could put the tray in checked baggage if you really needed it. And I do notice that the drive response on the X60 is superior to that in the earlier X20, X30 machines, you would not know it was still a 5400 rpm drive and there is a faster 7200 rpm drive available, Just my CA$0.02 ... Mike BTW, I did take my T43 with me to Australia for a month last year and never once used the CD drive in it but I did wish it was small and light like the X60 when I was lugging it around airports... The wife wants to get a new Thinkpad. It should be light and travel ready... but beefy enough to do WDSC (not the Lite version). Any suggested models? I know 2gb of ram & 7200 rpm drive are the basics, but regarding portability and travel ready, any preferences?
