Open Internet Explorer
Choose "Tools" - Internet Options
Click on the connections tab
Click on the lan settings button

If there is a reference to a proxy server , copy the address and port
into

"preferences -  proxy settings" from the Rational Product Updater menu

Worked for me.

It's one of those days.

Within Rational Product Updater, I select IBM Rational Web Developer
6.0.0.1 and click Find Updates.  Then I get the following error
messages:

Invalid update site url for IBM Rational Product Updater 6.0.0.4:
http://www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/updater/60/u
pdate/site.xml
Invalid update site url for IBM Rational Web Developer:
http://www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/rwd/60/updat
e
Invalid update site url for IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client for
iSeries:
http://www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/websphere/iseries/wdsc60
0/update

Any help would be appreciated.
