Mark, about your filter idea.
I assume that you would only want to filter the list of fields by field
type and that this filter should not apply to the children of external
record formats, data structures, procedure interfaces etc.
If you had such a filter, so that you could optionally subset the children
of the Fields heading to only those of a certain data type such as
Indicator, would you still want named indicators under the Indicators
heading? Because now you could easily find them under Fields as well.

Karla mentioned that the reason why she wants to keep Named Indicators
under Indicators was because it made them easy to find.

Edmund,

Can we have them under both?? An additional feature would be
separate / filter by *any* type of variable.

Ken's question about where in the Outline view to find named indicators

We would like to know if there is a strong preference to move Named
indicators under the Fields heading so that all fields can be found in one
place and only predefined indicator usage being shown under the Indicators
heading.
On the other hand would anyone be upset about not finding the Named
indicators under the Indicators heading any more?

IBM is listening.
