Since Rob is interested in performance, wouldn't it make more sense to put
the HLL apps on the DATA box?

There should be documentation indicating which ports to open to communicate
between the WEB server and the HLL/DATA server.

The question is whether any multi-tier architecture will improve the
performance of Webfacing?  I just think that the DDM option is likely to
offer the poorest performing alternative.
