There is one application I'd like to webify for just this reason.  This 
application originally stored it's notes in an OV/400 document.  The field 
in the database was just a link to the document.  With the demise of 
OV/400 we changed it to a variable length field.  The green screen had to 
jump through all sorts of hoops to get this to work.  With a web 
application, I could simply use the html keyword "text" to handle this 
field.  Cutting out numerous lines of code.
