Here's my 2 centavos;
1) can you show us a link "In Context" or send us the resultant HTML so we can
see the HTML output from your CGI routine? In MANY cases, using relative
directory structure may NOT work... (note the missing slash - says essentially
- there should be a sub-directory locally within THIS directory Structure (and
if that's a "/macro" directory - then the BROWSER would interpret that
statement as /macro/images) that says images/something to get to your images...
2) The MAP/PASS structure from HTTP classic was "I didn't mention where I was
going, I defined a root, and you find the structure below the root... and
that's (unless EXPLICITLY mentioned) is assume PASS - in apache - everything is
assume FAIL - much more secure - but the structure becomes more intricate...
look into this, but spend not that MUCH time...
3) QTMHHTTP and QTMHHTP1 - are users on your system that need read access (*RX
DTAAUT) to the images - QTMHHTP1 is executing the CGI program in MOST
instances, but QTMHHTTP is looking at the HTML etc... NOT the CGI - he doesn't
run that stuff... this is slightly different for Apache...

OK - 2 cents over...

Then it might be a security issue.

wrklnk '/yourwebserversroot/images/'

and check out whether user QTMHHTTP has enough rights for the images.
(option 9)

That's the user the web server uses.
