Dave,

I'm not too sure, but it looks like QUERY_STRING has been escaped (the "/"
has been translated to a more friendly "%61").  But when you refer to
variable $(a) explicitly, it unescapes it.

Just curious, why are you using the QUERY_STRING anyway?  It may prove to
be problematic for you, as Net.Data does not appear to give you a way to
unescape a string.

  OK, here's the situation. Actually, let me simply show you the code.


  %DEFINE QUERY_STRING = %ENVVAR


  step 1---> $(a) <---

  step 2---> @callcgipgm() <---

  step 3---> $(QUERY_STRING) <---


  OK. Now, what I'm trying to determine is when I pass a value in parameter
"a" of "d/d", my
  results in steps 1 and 2 come up correct, "d/d". But, when step 3 occurs
my result is "d%61d".
  Now, I've scene examples that show that this doesn't have to happen.


  What I was hoping for was for someone to tell me shy it is happening.
