I run W2K SP3 at home and have yet to find an update that requires SP4.
I don't think this will be an issue for many months.

Besides, if an update requires SP4, it's more than likely there to fix
an SP4 bug...

However: will the PC be impacted by the fact that I cannot apply any of
the other critical updates because SP4 is required to be installed
first?

I wish I could be at SP3 level with all its features and wait for a
