You could add timestamps to your programs if it's a one
time thing, or you could use GETURI.

The timestamps (one at the beginning of each program, and
one and the end) will tell you actual runtime.  Using a
tool like GETURI (which makes an HTTP request) will give
you the run time as well as the run time for the command.
 But you'll still get an idea of what % speed difference
there is.

You can get GETURI from www.bvstools.com/geturi.html.  Just
email me from my contacts page (I rarely check mail from
this email here because there's simply too much spam) and I
can get you a temp key which will allow you to run the
tests.
