What were your goals?
- To give users web access without downloading a client (like a 5250
client)?
- To guify your screens every so slightly without much effort?

If it's the first one, I believe Joe Pluta has a product that you can load
on your iSeries that gives them 5250 without having to load a client on
their PC's. Supposed to have a higher level of functionality with MSIE
though. I know that sends the anti-Bill crowd off into a slathering fit,
but it was simply based on the technical capability of the MSIE browser.
Frankly, you sound like someone who is more interested in the
functionality, since you already are aware of some of the traditional
browser limitations like field exit; so I would think that you wouldn't be
in the "Bill is the antiChrist crowd" or even if you were, you'd accept
something that would have the function.
